Oh…and the plugin itself is super flexible, with drag and drop MIDI/WAV, a flexible beats sequencer, mixer, fx, etc. It doesn’t matter what type of music you make, if you need drums of this texture and character, this pack for Addictive Drums 2 is a good look. If you’re into warm, punchy, organic sounding drums, this pack is definitely one to check out. ![]() My introduction to Addictive Drums 2 was with the Modern Soul and R&B pack. The kits load quickly, and for me that’s super useful as I can quickly browse and try presets. Gallery and Explore enable you to browse and audition the kits and kit presets you own alongside those that you dont, with a Buy now banner linking to the online store. Why do I dig it? The interface is clean and easy to understand, and the drum kits have an amazing sound, yet it doesn’t take up a bunch of hard drive space. Addictive Drums 2 is visually and functionally similar to XLNs Addictive Keys, with Gallery and Explore pages now complementing the established Kit, Edit, FX and Beats pages. I really love the options we have for authentic drum sounds, and Addictive Drums 2 has become my go to drum plugin. I’m not a drummer though, I don’t have a full drum kit, but I still prefer real drum sounds over synth sounds.
